Beat Explorers is a music therapy group designed for children under 5 with additional needs. These fun and engaging sessions offer a unique opportunity for children and caregivers to connect through the joy of music in a supportive, nurturing environment.
About the session
Each session includes group music-making activities where children and their caregivers can explore sounds and songs together. Following the group time, there space for individual time with the therapist, allowing time to work on any focused goals. This time also offers parents a chance to engage, bond, and play with their children in a relaxed, creative space.
Beat Explorers serves as a gentle introduction to music therapy, with activities tailored to suit each child’s abilities and developmental needs. The primary focus is on fostering communication, developing motor skills, encouraging self-expression, and most importantly, having fun! It’s a wonderful opportunity for both children and caregivers to connect with each other in a relaxed environment.
Fees and Initial Contact
Each Beat Explorers session lasts an hour and costs £12.50. To provide a more personalised experience and ensure consistency for your child, we recommend booking in 6-week blocks. This allows the therapist to get to know your child and tailor the sessions to their individual needs.
Once you've made a block booking, we'll ask you to fill out a short form about your child. This helps us understand any specific needs or adjustments needed so your child can get the most out of the group sessions.
